The North Bay League was established in the 1920/21 season.
Santa Rosa won the first track championship and I know Napa, Petaluma and Analy were all members, I assume Ukiah, Healdsburg and Sonoma Valley were probably in it as well.
Many many schools were in the early NBL league over the years. Many later moved on to other leagues, even St Helena was a member in 1935.
The names of the local leagues have also had some adjustments over the years. Below is a listing of those changes.

Here is a breakdown of the large schools and league movement for each.

American Canyon – Opened in the 2010/11 season as a member of the Solano County Athletic Conference in the Sac-Joaquin Section. They changed to the North Coast Section in 2018/19 into the newly established Vine Valley Athletic League.
Analy – Founded 1909/10. Was a member of the North Bay League’s first year in 1920/21. In 1965/66 they were moved into the new league called North Bay League II which in 1971/72 was renamed the Sonoma County League and in 2018/19 moved into the North Bay League “Redwood” division.
Cardinal Newman – In 1968/69 they were placed into the North Bay League II which in 1971/72 was renamed the Sonoma County League,
Casa Grande – Opened in the 1972/73 season. First sign of Casa was in the 1973/74 Sonoma County League.

Healdsburg – Founded 1880/81. Pretty sure was a member of the North Bay League’s first year in 1920/21.
Justin-Siena – Opened in the 1971/72 season. They were moved from the Marin County Athletic League in 2018/19 into the newly established Vine Valley Athletic League.

Montgomery – Was a member of the North Bay League when school opened in the 1958/59 season.
Napa – Was a member of the North Bay League’s first year in 1920/21 and was a member until the 1975/76 season when they left the North Coast Section to become a member of the Monticello Empire League in the Sac-Joaquin Section. They changed back to the North Coast Section in 2018/19 into the newly established Vine Valley Athletic League.
Petaluma – Founded 1873/74. Was a member of the North Bay League’s first year in 1920/21.
Piner – In 1966/67 they were placed into the North Bay League II which in 1971/72 was renamed the Sonoma County League,
Rancho Cotate – In 1965/66 they were placed into the new league called North Bay League II which in 1971/72 was renamed the Sonoma County League, they later were moved to the North Bay League and now in 2018/19 to the North Bay League “Redwood” division.
