Sonview Ranch Singular Delight is a doe I never thought I would be offering for sale, but she has not adjusted to my new milking set up. In May, I got an elevated 4 head milking stanchion and switched to milking from behind. Delight hates it! She will not accept being milked from behind and has become quite protective of her rear udder, making it hard to clip her udder for shows. She was a calm, very easy to milk doe, with excellent milk stand manners all the years I milked from the side. She came right in, got on the stand, was easy to milk, did not move when milked and was easy to handle for everything else, day after day. Last month, at Boonville Fair, I milked from the side and she was back to her normal, easy to milk self. Although she is one of my top show does, I have to let her go to a new home where she will be milked from the side; for her sake and for mine. Hopefully in time, she will relax enough to stand quietly to have her rear udder clipped for shows again…

This doe line is very slow to mature,and often they are ugly ducklings. Delight was not part of my show string as a kid, nor as a dry yearling! But as a 3 year old last year, she was 1st place with 1st udder at the prestigious Sonoma County Fair open show and then 1st place with 1st udder at our last show of the year. This year she won a tremendous class down in Angels Camp, then was 4th place (with her niece winning the class) at the Sonoma County Fair. At the ADGA National Show in Nebraska, she made the cut in the large, outstanding class and was 20th place 4 year old!
Singular Delight and her sister, Delightful Dale placed 6th at the National Show this year in the Produce of Dam class. Singular Delight was also part of my Dairy Herd at Nationals, which placed 15th! (and that was without one of my best show does)

Last month she scored VEEE 89 in appraisal, scoring very high in dairyness, rump angle, rump width, fore udder, rear udder height and rear udder arch.

Besides her own show successes, and her daughters’ show wins, Singular Delight is also a good milk producer.

This year she has been on milk test for 202 days so far, she has produced 828 lbs of milk, 49 lbs of fat and 35 lbs of protein and is projected to milk over 1000 lbs this lactation.

I have retained 2 of Delight’s daughters. Both of them have excelled in the highly competitive CA shows. One of them was named Champion at the first show this year. The other was Reserve Champion at the State Fair last year as a kid, and in really tough competition at the Sonoma County Fair this year, she won the class of yearling milkers! They are such good quality, that I am keeping both of Delight’s daughters even though I am cutting my herd down from 68 to 26.

Delight is a full sister to my very best doe, GCH Sonview Ranch Delightful Dale, a permanent Champion, who is looking the best she ever has now that she is 7 years old and scored VEEE 92 in Sept. Dale was 2nd place at the 2019 ADGA National Show and 5th place at the National Show this year.

Regal won her class the first time she stepped into the show ring as a junior kid. She was then named Reserve Champion. Under the next judge, she was named Champion, despite being the youngest and smallest, and then went on to be chosen Best in Show Junior. She was not shown again until the National Show.

She WON the junior class at the 2023 ADGA National Show, with her twin sister in 2nd place right behind her. Their older full sister, Nazira, was 11th place in the largest class at the National show, (the 2 year old class,) and their dam was 2nd place in the 5 & 6 year old class there. At the 2025 ADGA National Show, their older full sister was 10th place and their dam was 5th place!

Her full sister is now 4 years old and just appraised EEEE 92.
Their full sister who is 3 years old, just appraised appraised VVVV 88, with 37 in dairyness, 36 in rump angle, 31 in rump width, 36 fore udder attachment, 36 rear udder height, 40 rear udder arch on her 3rd freshening udder.
Another full sister who is a dry yearling won the large class, was chosen Champion Jr and was then named Best is Show Jr at her first show this year!

On milk test for 171 days so far, she has produced 638 lbs of milk, 32 lbs of fat and 27 lbs of protein. She is on track to milk over 1000 lb on her 2nd lactation.

Regal is a very sweet, mellow young doe with a beautiful body. When she freshened for the first time last year, I was puzzled because her udder is different than her full sisters. The good news is that her udder improved between her first freshening and her second, so hopefully it will keep improving with each lactation. As much as I will miss her sweetness, I am letting her go because some of her full sisters have turned out to be better. Regal is a good quality doe, who I expect to get better each year now, but the mixed blessing is that I happen to have other 2 year old does who are even higher quality than she is and the fact is, I do not need to keep 5 full sisters!

Sept 1, 2025, Paragon appraised VVVV 88 as a 3 year old, with 37 in dairyness, 36 in rump angle, 31 in rump width, 36 fore udder attachment, 36 rear udder height, 40 rear udder arch on her 3rd freshening udder.

On milk test for 206 days so far, she has produced 861 lbs of milk, 42 lbs of fat and 37 lbs of protein. She is on track to milk over 1000 lb this lactation. She is very easy to handle for everything and wonderful to show.

I will be the first to admit that this is a slow maturing line, but it has been worth the wait when they blossom later on. Paragon is just 3 years old so I expect her to keep on improving as she matures.

Rejoice’s dam, Emmy, was a total performer; excelling in the show ring, linear appraisal and milk producion! On top of that, she had the best disposition of any doe I have ever met and Rejoice is as calm, quiet and easy to have around as she was. Rejoice’s maternal sister, Sonview Ranch Firefly 2*M VVEE 90 (05-06) was also a solid show doe and her maternal sister, Sonview Ranch Praise, just appraised VEEE 90 as a 3 year old last month!

Rejoice’s sire has been an outstanding sire, with multiple finished Champion daughters and multiple high placings at ADGA National Shows as kids as well as as milkers! Two of Rejoice’s paternal sisters in my herd just appraised VEEE 90 as 2 year olds!

What a consistent show season she had as an intermediate kid. At her first show, in May, she was 3rd under the first judge, then 5th under the next judge, then 3rd under the final judge. Great placings in really tough competition.

She made the Top 10 cut in the large classes at the prestigious REDGA show under all 4 judges! That alone is quite an achievement. She was 10th, then 3rd, then 10th, then 9th.

At State Fair in July 2024, she was 2nd in her class.

At the intensely competitive Sonoma County Fair she was 4th.

She finished off her show season as a junior by placing 5th in our last show of the year in Sept 2024.

In 2025, on milk test for 181 days so far, she has produced 581 lbs of milk, 26 lbs of fat and 24 lbs of protein. She is on track to milk over 870 lbs in her 1st lactation.

This year, as a first freshening yearling, Serenity scored very well in appraisal, scoring GVVV 85, with 35 in dairyness, 35 in rump angle, 35 in rump width!!! 34 fore udder attachment, 37 rear udder height, 37 rear udder arch! She has a lot of maturing to do but she is sure on the right track.

This makes Superlative a paternal sister to Sonview Ranch Regal – who went Champion and then Best in Show Jr, at her very first show as a young kid. Regal’s next show was the 2023 ADGA National Show and she WON her class, with her littermate sister in 2nd place, right behind her.

Superlative has the pedigree behind her to excel in every performance program and although her dam line is slow to mature, and Superlative is looking rather gangly as a yearling, I think she will be worth the wait.

For years, I have been a huge fan of Rosasharn Farm’s Nigerian Dwarf goats. Started in 1986, Rosasharn Farm has been one of the most influential breeders in advancing the development and improvement of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. They have produced multiple National Champion does and multiple Top Ten does in their long history of milk testing, in both AGS and ADGA, and also achieve high scores in ADGA’s Linear Appraisal.

ARMCH SG Rosasharn’s Eclipse 2*M EEEV 91 (12-04) was the AGS National Champion in 2005, with ARMCH Rosasharn Tom’s Bit-A-Lilly 2*M winning Reserve Champion, with AGS Rosasharn’s UK Witch-Hazel being awarded National Best Udder! In 2007, ARMCH SG Rosasharn’s Buckwheat Honey 3*M EEEE 91 (07-04) won the AGS National Champion title, making her a 3rd generation National Champion doe!
In 2010, they had the very first ADGA National Champion Nigerian Dwarf doe, winning with ARMCH SG Rosasharn P Haiku4*M VEEE 91, plus ARMCH SG Rosasharn’s Buckwheat Honey 3*M EEEE 91, was named ADGA Reserve National Champion! Both of these does were outstanding and I believe they would still be competitive in today’s show rings.

Many of the animals excelling today have Rosasharn in their pedigrees.

He is really good at getting the does bred! He has some beautiful milking daughters, who have done well in the show ring. In my herd in 2025, he sired 81% doe kids – 13 doe kids and only 3 buck kids!!!

He has gone over height but none of his daughters have gone over height.

One of his milking daughters is winning in the show ring already and doe kids are doing well in the show ring also.

She is from a slow maturing line but at her one show this summer, she was a very respectable 5th place in a large, competitive class, with her paternal sister being one of the kids in front of her! She was commended on her dairyness and rear legs.

Her sire, Hidden Hills Chase The Legend, brings solidly proven genetics and generations of show wins, high Linear Appraisal scores, as well as good milk production from those highly sought after Rosasharn/Algedi/Alethia lines.

Triumph is the grandaughter of SGCH Sonview Ranch Emmy 2*M VEEE 90 (07-01) who was a Total Performer doe, 10th place at the 2019 ADGA National Show and excelling in every performance program. Emmy also had the best disposition of any goat I have ever met, and she has passed that on to all her kids. Triumph is sweet, friendly and easy to handle.

Talk about a hard cut! I can hardly believe I am offering an EX 90 doe, with a solid show record and who is so wonderful to have around! But the bottom line is that I have to reduce my herd size and I am blessed with does in her age class that happen to be even better than she is, so I hope she can go to a good new herd that will value her, a new place where she can contribute to herd improvement.

Firebird is a meek, quiet doe who is steady, reliable and is very easy to have around! She did well in the show ring as a kid! She and her paternal sister, Sonview Ranch Firefly, were very competitive despite great competition in our area. Firebird won her class 3 times then went on to be named Champion or Res Champion each of those times! She was 2nd at 5 other shows but at 4 of those, her paternal sister, Firefly won the class with Firebird right behind her in 2nd. She continued to do well in the show ring as a milking yearling in 2019, winning under 3 judges, placing 2nd to Firefly once and 3rd twice! She liked staying home when all shows were cancelled in 2020 and when we went back to showing later in 2021, she did not really want to be there and was down the line in her classes at 2 shows. Then at the last show of 2021, she got back with it to place 2nd, only behind herdmate, Sonview Ranch Delightful Dale, beating Firefly, who was 3rd. Honoring her desire to stay home more, she was just shown twice in 2022. She again was 2nd only to Delightful Dale, with Firefly 3rd at the first show, then she won the class at the last show, beating Firefly (Delightful Dale was not shown there.) In 2023, she was 4th in a good class at her first show then she WON a strong class at her last show!

In Aug 2023, as a 5 year old, 5th freshener, who kidded with a single in March, Firebird appraised VEEE 90. She scored 35 in fore udder attachment, 32 in rear udder height and 34 in rear udder arch.

She is a consistent milker, who after having a single kid in March 2023, milked 2.9 lb and her next 8 milk tests were all between 2.9 lb – 2.4 lb

Tribute is an interesting doe to show. She and her twin sister often traded off beating each other in the show ring as kids. Tribute did well the many times she was shown as a kid in 2019, but of course the most exciting was when she made the cut in the huge class and placed Top Ten at the 2019 ADGA National Show (with her twin sister placing 12th and our other Sonview Ranch doe kid placing 15th in that class.) Things got even more interesting when she hit the show ring as a milker. Under 12 judges in 2 years of being shown as a milker, she was either at the top of her class or down the line. Judges either really like her or they don’t. She has won multiple huge classes in Amazing competition and then in the next ring she has placed 8th or 9th…Personally, I really like her.

Tribute has won some outstanding classes, but her real value may be in what she can produce. She has produced some nice kids already though.
Her 2021 daughter is an outstanding show doe, who has won some great classes in extreme West Coast competition.
Her 2022 daughter went Res Champion twice at her first show, and was Champion at the next show and has done well in the shows now that she is a milker.
Her 2023 daughter was 14th Intermediate kid at the 2023 ADGA National Show!

Nessa and her twin sister, Neevia, are like two peas in a pod. Thanks to their sire, Alethia DOH Cosmic Wonder, they are both an improvement over their dam, SGCH Sonview Ranch Emmy VEEE 90 and like Emmy, they are calm, quiet and so sweet. As kids in the show ring, they placed right next to each other, almost always in the top 3, and although Neevia was usually right ahead of Nessa, Nessa did beat her sister at one show.

Shown in 2022, as a yearling milker, Nessa was 3rd at both shows, only behind her herd mates Sonview Ranch Nazira and Sonview Ranch Extra Blessing both times.

2023 was really rough on Nessa, but she is back to her beautiful self in 2024 and will be ready to hit the show ring in 2025 once again! Her twin sister, Neevia was named Champion in great competition this summer, then was Res Champion at the 2024 California State Fair. Nessa is available to a performance home that will include her in Linear Appraisal and hopefully milk test besides giving her a chance to shine in the show ring so she can prove that she can do it all.

Michelangelo’s dam: GCH Sonview Ranch Delightful Dale finally got to enter the show ring as a milker in 2021, and earned her permanent championship in short order. She was appraised on 5/31/21, scoring VEVE 89 as a 2nd freshening 3 year old; with a 33 in dairyness, 33 in rump angle, 34 in fore udder attachment and 36 in rear udder height! She is also turning out to be a good little milker, producing 934 lb of milk, 61 lb of fat and 40 lb of protein in 305 days when she was a first freshening yearling.

SGCH Sonview Ranch Emmy 2*M VEEE 90 (07-01) was 10th place at the 2019 ADGA National Show in the 5- 6 year old class And she milked 1134 lb, with 83 lb fat and 53 lb protein in 306 days plus miking 966 lb with 72 lb fat and 42 lb protein in only 259 days last year at 7 years of age. Emmy is an outstanding all around doe. Not only does she milk well, appraise highly and excel in the show ring, she has been a wonderful, consistent producer of quality kids all these years AND to top it off, she is the sweetest, most compliant doe in our herd and she passes on her amazing disposition to her kids.

Posy was on the 2022 doe kid sales list for months for only $700, but when no one had snatched her up after 5 months, I opted to keep her, so I clipped her and took her to the next show. She has been a good, solid show doe all her life!
She had a good show season as a kid, winning her class in steep competition under 5 judges, then being named Res Champion once and Champion twice. At other shows, she was 2nd to her paternal sister, Sonview Ranch Firebird. In 2019, as yearling milkers, the rivalry between Firefly and Firebird stepped up a notch. Firefly won the class under 2 judges then she was 2nd at three shows, most of those times she was 2nd to Firebird. Shown only twice in 2021, she was 5th once then 3rd behind Firebird who was 2nd. In 2022, she placed 3rd at both shows she went to. Summer of 2023, she showed well, placing 4th in an outstanding class at the first show, then at her 2nd show of the year, her paternal sister, Sonview Ranch Firebird won the very strong class, with Firefly a respectable 4th place. I was proud of both of them.

Firefly is milking well and has been very consistent this year. She has now been milking for 6 months and on the 9/6/23 milk test she produced 3.2 lb of milk. She has milked 3 lb or more on all 7 tests this year and is projected to milk about 846 lb on a 305 lactation for the year.

In Aug 2023, as a 5 year old, 5th freshener, who kidded with quads on 3/6/23, she appraised VVEE 90. She has the type of rump I have been breeding for and scored a 39 in rump width, so I was pleased with that. She scored 34 in fore udder attachment, 33 in rear udder height and 32 for rear udder arch.

Mayla is a long, elegant doe, with so much style. She is a a TWINCREEKS RM WATERMARK granddaughter, as well as a granddaughter of GCH Sonview Ranch Fancy C.C. 1*M, EEEE 91 (at 7 years old,) who won the aged doe class with best udder at the 2019 ADGA National show. Mayla’s sire, Sonview Ranch Lando, is the sire of Sonview Ranch Regal, who WON the large junior class at the 2023 ADGA National Show and her twin sister, Sonview Ranch Ritzy, who was right behind her in 2nd! Another of Mayla’s paternal sisters was 11th place out of 85 two year old milkers at the National Show this year! At her very first show ever, Mayla was Champion Jr Nigerian Dwarf in outstanding competition (9/5/21.) As a first freshening 2 year old in 2022, going to shows was a challenge to her. It took several shows for her to settle in and feel comfortable. She placed in the top 5 under every judge but was always in the shadow of herd mate, Sonview Ranch Martina, who was our standout star that year and usually Sonview Ranch Mitzy stood ahead of her in the classes too. This year at her first show, I was delighted when she was 2nd, only standing behind herdmate Sonview Ranch Martina! At her second show this year, she was 4th, because Sonview Ranch Mitzy and Sonview Ranch Martina were ahead of her, with a gorgeous doe ahead of them to win the class. Good solid placings in very strong competition since some of these does were in the top in the 3 year old class at the 2023 ADGA National Show!

I am pleased with Mayla on the milk stand. Not only is she well behaved but she is easy to milk. She produced 3.8 lb on her first milk test and all 7 tests have been between 3.8 – 2.3 lb. Her projected 305 production is estimated at 859 lb of milk, which is fine with me for a 2nd freshener.

Extra Blessing is a beautiful young doe with a fantastic pedigree filled with proven animals.
In the show ring, Blessing and her twin sister, Bliss, traded off winning their classes as kids. In 2022, Blessing was a yearling milker and I was pleasantly surprised when she was top 3 at every show, going 2nd only to Sonview Ranch Nazira at 3 of those shows. I expect she will keep improving with more freshenings so she has an exciting future ahead of her. The ONLY reason I am letting her go is because I am retaining her twin sister and can not justify keeping twin sisters during these hard cuts, so someone has a great opportunity to add these sought after bloodlines to their herd with this sweet, beautiful, productive young doe.

Sonview Ranch Ritzy Sold – $3000 – went to a great show home in S California

It was an unbelievable thrill to start off the 2023 ADGA National Show with Ritzy and her twin sister going 1 – 2 to win the junior class. This long, elegant, stylish doe kid handled the show like a little pro, even though it was her very first show ever! Being a TWINCREEKS RM WATERMARK granddaughter, as well as a granddaughter of GCH Sonview Ranch Fancy C.C. 1*M, EEEE 91 (at 7 years old,) who won the aged doe class with best udder at the 2019 ADGA National show, Ritzy has a lot to offer a new herd in and of herself and by merit of the genetics behind her. In the last 12 years, I have kept a total of 5 (yes five) buck kids intact, so it is rare that I offer a buck kid for sale but this buck kid repeatedly caught my eye amongst all the 2023 buck kids in the pen and continues to do so! He has been saying he is ready to do his job since he was about 6 weeks old. He bred and settled several does in Nov and Dec 2023!

All our shows were cancelled in 2020. Milking 21 does was not manageable for me so I made the decision to dry up the mature does who had already earned milk stars, including Jalena just 62 days after kidding, to lighten my load. With the shows still shut down going into 2021, it was a repeat. Unfortunately that meant that when a few shows were allowed later in 2021, she was dry so she did not get to go back into the show ring.

However, her daughters that I have retained have carried on the success in the show ring. Her 2019 daughter (by Alethia SHH Gunsmoke N Lace,) Sonview Ranch Lena had a very good show season as a kid, including placing 15th in a huge class at the 2019 ADGA National show and went on to win Champion then Best in Show for her new owner up in Oregon. Jalena’s 2018 daughter (by Alethia DOH Cosmic Wonder,) Sonview Ranch Delightful Dale 2*M VEVE 89 (02-11) (pending ADGA inputting records) went Champion as a dry yearling then shocked me by winning Best Jr in Show. She finally got a chance to get into the show ring as a milker in 2021 and she did us proud. She finished her championship in short order and was awarded Best Doe in Show in outstanding competition at her last show! Delightful Dale is not only beautiful and correct, she can put the milk into the pail. She produced 934 lb of milk, 61 lb of fat and 40 lb of protein as a first freshening yearling.

I have already shown Parlay’s twin sister under 5 judges in top notch competition. The very first time she walked into the show ring, she won the very competitive class! She was 4th under the next judge, then 2nd only behind her paternal sister under another judge. At the next show, she was placed in the middle of a large, highly competitive class of 14, then was 2nd out of those 14 under the next judge! It was a tough choice to choose who to keep between Parlay and her sister. Parlay is stronger in some areas, having a bit more brisket extension and definitely more depth of body, resulting in greater body capacity but both are very promising doe kids, not only for the show ring but also as future milkers.

Dam, Treasure, had an intriguing show season as a kid. At their first show, which was a major show, her twin sister, Sonview Ranch Tribute 2*M VVEV 88 (2-02) beat her and went on to win Res Champion Jr under one judge. Under a different judge at that same show, Treasure was placed ahead of her sister and this was repeated under the next judge, but under the 4th judge at that show, Treasure not only beat her sister to win the class, but was then named Res Champion Jr herself.

At their next show, Treasure was 2nd, behind a different herdmate who went on to be named Res Champion Jr, with Tribute placing 3rd behind them, but under the next judge at that show, Tribute not only won the class but was awarded Champion Jr.

Macey was appraised for the first time in May 2021 as a first freshening yearling, only 5 weeks fresh, and scored +VVV 85. She had some of the highest scores out of all my yearling first fresheners. She was scored 35 in dairyness, 34 in fore udder attachment, and 36 in rear udder height! She got V for front legs and E for rear legs. I was very pleased with her scores. She was quite thin after delivering her litter so she was shaped like a hot dog the day of appraisal, which was not good for her general appearance, but the appraiser had good comments for her, saying she had all the right parts but seemed immature. I expect her to keep getting better and better as she slowly matures and fills out.

On her first milk test this year, 28 days fresh after having a single kid, Macey milked 3.3 lb. I wish I could have given her the full 305 days on milk test last year, her first year, but I had to dry her up early because she happened to be the first doe in heat and bred and I wanted to give her at least 60 days off before she kidded so it was necessary to dry her off early.

Her long, elegant dairy 2022 doe kid, Paisley, has already been shown successfully. The first time she walked into a show ring, she won the big, competitive senior kid class. She was 3rd under the next judge, with her paternal sister winning the class. At other shows this year, she has been 10th in a very large class, 5th and 2nd out of a class of 14, under all different judges, so it looks like she is going to be a solid show doe.

I jumped at the chance to buy Mirage as a bottle baby back in 2018. What an amazing pedigree he has! Both his sire and dam are animals to be admired. He is a grandson of the fabulous, multi-champion producing Guy Noir & Tuscan Sun, the dam of the current National Champion, who also had best udder. As if that is not enough, he is also the grandson of Cleveland Sage, the sire of the current National Champion, (along with several other champion daughters, including one who appraised 92, and two others who appraised 91 so far) Not only does he come from proven stock that excels in the show ring and scores well on Linear Appraisal, these lines also have good milk production.

Mirage himself was just appraised 5/31/21, scoring VVE 88. I have 3 of his daughters in milk. Litzy is 2 years old and appraised VEVV 88 (We would like to see better teat placement on her but she inherited that from her dam, otherwise her udder is Oh SO NICE.) Mirage’s yearling daughter, My Valentine, scored +VVA 83, with a fore udder score of 34, compared to her dam’s fore udder score of 28. His other yearling daughter, Martina, appraised the highest of my 8 first fresheners, scoring VEVV 86.

She earned her AR milk star in those 246 days on test but I sure wish I had given her the chance to go the full 305 days to see what she really could have done.

This is a tough one for me, and I already took Miracle off my sales list once this year, but I am trying to stick to my decision to let some of my mature does go to new herds, to be able to keep and work with some of my very promising doe kids, so today (9/17/20) I am again offering this sweet, sweet doe to a good new home.

In addition, she earned her AR milk star in just 246 days, milking 809 lbs with 53 lbs of fat & 39 lbs P/S in those 246 days. Gemma was Jr Champion as a kid then as a yearling milker she won her class under 7 different judges and was top 3, fourteen out of 17 times shown. Miracle’s 2019 daughter, Sonview Ranch Layla, went Reserve Champion her first time in the ring then went Champion Jr Nigerian in amazingly top notch competition at the 2019 REDGA show.
